Completely installed and controls upgraded
Alloys were being manually weighed into a tote from the original bunkers. We introduced new accurate electromagnetic vibrating feeders that discharge to a movable tote placed on a trolley by a forklift.
The trolley contains a weigh scale that totals each alloy as added by the pulpit according to chemistry; the forklift removes and delivers to the furnace.
The system increases the safety of the melt shop personnel, as well as the speed and accuracy of additions to each heat.
